Straightforward fees. No surprises.
Every case is different — the courthouse, the nature of the eviction lawsuit, and other case-specific factors all affect what effective representation requires. That's why we review your documents before quoting a fee. What never changes is our structure: a transparent, two-tier flat fee with no hourly billing.
Pre-trial representation
A single one-time flat fee covers everything from initial case review through the close of pre-trial litigation — hearings, motions, discovery, and all attorney work leading up to trial.
Trial preparation & trial
If your case proceeds to trial, a second flat fee covers all trial preparation and the trial itself. This fee is due before the trial date. We always work toward an earlier resolution when possible.
We do not charge by the hour. Your fee commitment is disclosed clearly in your retainer agreement — before any work begins and before you sign anything.

We quote each case individually after reviewing your court documents and rental agreement. Fees are based on the specific circumstances of your case, and we're happy to walk you through exactly what applies to your situation during your free consultation.
How to get started
We'd love to hear from you. Here's what the process looks like:
- Call us for a free consultation. Reach us at 818-402-5400. We'll listen to your situation, answer your questions, and let you know whether your case may be a good fit for our firm. There is never a fee for a consultation — and absolutely no obligation to retain us afterward.
- Send us your documents. If an unlawful detainer has already been filed against you, we'll ask you to email us a copy of the summons, complaint (including all attachments), and your rental agreement if you have it. PDF attachments are ideal. If your files are too large to attach, a shared cloud link (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, iCloud, or similar) works just as well.
- We review and call you back. We personally review your documents, assess whether we are able to take your case, and follow up by phone to discuss next steps and your quoted fee. Please note that while we welcome every consultation, we may not be able to accept every case — but we will always be straightforward with you about why.
We understand that facing an eviction is one of the most stressful experiences a person can go through. We take every call seriously — and we never take it personally if you consult with us and decide to go in a different direction. Our goal at this stage is simply to give you honest, useful information.
