SEGURA LAW: MISSION STATEMENT

 SEGURA LAW recognizes the unique experience of renting in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. We recognize that the experience causes both joy and pain. 

We do not judge tenants or landlords that call us to ask us for help. We recognize that there are good and bad tenants. There are good and bad landlords. We decide who to help. 

We do not have an anti-landlord philosophy in our law practice. We do not believe that landlords are evil. However, we know that many landlords in LA’s competitive rental market do not play fair. After reviewing your case, we will give you an opinion if your landlord is playing fair or not. 

There are good landlords in the City of L.A. and the San Fernando Valley. We recognize and applaud them for doing what’s right. 

There are landlords who do not play fairly in the City of L.A. and the San Fernando Valley. We challenge their unfair practices and call them out. Those landlords will bully and mistreat their tenants. They will harass their tenants. They will not perform necessary repairs, or if they perform repairs, the repair is done by an unlicensed contractor doing shoddy (“mickey mouse”) work. They will falsely accuse their tenants of not paying rent, breaching the lease, or committing nuisance. They will fabricate bogus allegations to evict a tenant on frivolous grounds. At SEGURA LAW, we do not appreciate these unfair practices. We advocate for tenants who experienced hardship and pain by those unfair practices.
